Designs
The five main design outputs shown above are the Carestation, a new symbol for hand hygiene, a new vital signs trolley, a redesign of drugs packaging and an exemplar handover environment. They tackle the briefs of infection control, hand hygiene, vital signs, medication and handover respectively. For more information on each design, please visit the Designs page.
The designs will be on display at:
- Royal College of Art, part of ‘The Problem Comes First’ exhibition from 22nd September – 5th October 2011
- Hunterian Museum at the Royal College of Surgeons from 31st January – 4th February 2012
- Management Centre, Pontio from 9th - 18th March 2012.
The Carestation and an iPhone App which measures respiratory rate (part of the Vital Signs trolley design) are currently on trial at St. Mary’s hospital, Paddington.
The Carestation and Vital Signs trolley are in ongoing development with industrial partners Bristol Maid and Humanscale.
